There’s an exciting new mural on the way into Lacombe and it’s truly a community masterpiece!

This incredible project brought together the talented art classes of Ecole Secondaire Lacombe Composite High School (2025 & 2026) with funding from the Art Collection Committee, and the location was provided by Sauder Electric.

You’ll find it on Highway 12 West, just past the Lacombe Golf and Country Club, on the top of the hill on the north side. Visitors can’t miss it!

What was once faded graffiti on a sea can has been transformed into a vibrant mural that proudly welcomes visitors to our city.

This stunning mural represents countless hours of dedication from Mrs. Hunter and her students, who worked together over four semesters to design, paint, and seal every detail. Along the way, they honed their skills in collaboration, design elements, text sizing, and mural techniques. The results are nothing short of outstanding! We couldn’t be prouder of what they have created.

This massive undertaking makes a bold and beautiful statement to everyone entering Lacombe from the QE2. While we may be a city, Lacombe proudly shines as an art town, brimming with music, culture, sculptures, murals, and so much more to see and explore.

Next time you’re driving on Highway 12 into Lacombe, be sure to look to the north to see this outstanding work of art created by the Lacombe Composite High School art students.
