Dans le cadre d’une activité scolaire, Bianca, 10 ans, nièce de la Dre Geneviève Chaput, a pris l’initiative d’organiser une collecte de fonds en soutien aux soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital de Lachine. Grâce à sa gentillesse et à ses efforts, elle a amassé la somme impressionnante de 223 $ pour la Fondation de l’Hôpital de Lachine! 🩺💙

La ondation de l’Hôpital de Lachine met aujourd’hui Oliver Tom à l’honneur. 💙

À titre d’agent d’administration à l’admission de classe 2, Oliver est reconnu pour son calme et son approche empreinte de compassion dans les moments souvent stressants. Il a récemment été nommé par une patiente reconnaissante qu’il a aidée au téléphone. Celle-ci avait de nombreuses questions, et Oliver a pris le temps de répondre à chacune d’elles avec patience et bienveillance. Touchée par cette expérience, elle a communiqué avec la Fondation et a fait un don en son honneur.

The Lachine Hospital Foundation is shining a spotlight on Oliver Tom. 💙

As a Class 2 Admitting Administration Agent, Oliver is known for his calm and compassionate approach during stressful times. He was recently nominated by a grateful patient he supported over the phone. She had many questions, and Oliver took the time to answer each one with patience and care. She was so touched by the experience that she contacted the Foundation and made a donation in his honour.

Whether it is a doctor, nurse, staff member, or volunteer, anyone who goes above and beyond can be recognized as a Hospital Hero through the .program. Your hero will receive a letter and a pin, that they can proudly wear.

Pierre-Charles Hénault a occupé plusieurs rôles au cours de sa carrière en soins infirmiers, mais c’est à l’Hôpital de Lachine qu’il a vraiment trouvé un sentiment d’appartenance. 💙

Nancy Haince est infirmière à l’Hôpital de Lachine depuis 37 ans — dont 27 passés à l’Urgence. 🩺

Elle aurait pu prendre sa retraite il y a deux ans.
Mais elle a choisi de rester.

« Je veux être là pour mon équipe — et pour les jeunes infirmières et infirmiers qui arrivent », dit-elle. Nancy reste pendant la transition vers le nouvel hôpital afin d’aider son équipe à bien se préparer avant de prendre sa retraite.

C’est ça, l’esprit de Lachine. 💙

En cette Semaine des soins infirmiers, c’est à notre tour d’être là pour elles et eux.
