With social media being more and more relevant & the most used form of communication these days, we figured we better get with the times. Hope’s Closet is a little nook nuzzled between our 2 Outreach offices, located here at Hope Haven Women’s Shelter. n on donations from surrounding communities and we are so thankful for each & every donation we receive; without all our awesome donors this little Closet wouldn’t be possible.
• Decluttering your home? Moving and have a bunch of extra items laying around? We take gentle-used household items ranging from clothing to bedding to kitchenware. Please contact us at 78-623-3100 if you would like to donate! Please keep in mind, we have limited space so any BIG items, definitely call ahead of time to make sure we have the storage for it. These donations of gently used second-hand items can make a huge difference in someone starting over from nothing. Please be on the look out for “In Search Of” posts where we will be posting lists of items in need on behalf of the families we are helping.
• Are you starting over from nothing? Do you know someone having a hard time making ends meet and might need our services? Need some help connecting with the right agencies in town? Just want someone to chat with? Our Outreach team offers you access to Hope’s Closet! We have Outreach workers Monday-Friday that are waiting to chat with you and help. Confidentiality is something we value greatly, so never be afraid to reach out to us for help. Along with the donation center we also provide lay counseling, emotional support, referrals, connecting you to other agencies in town, safety planning, and so much more… including good coffee! Due the lack of storage and space in our facility, we try to get bigger items, or items that have sat in our Closet for a while, a place to call home. We will be posting items in the near future, in hopes that those items will be going to someone in need of them. As always, if you receive items from Hope’s Closet and no longer need or use them please “pay it forward” and pass that item onto someone else in need.
