One more day to get your entries in!

Oops... Our Plinko free giveaway tickets pulled a disappearing act! 🪄 🫣

Somewhere between the excitement of the Regatta and cleanup time, the prize draw ticket stubs accidentally took an early trip to the dumpster... Our mistake! 🤦‍♀️

The good news? Nobody won... so technically everyone who won a ticket is still in the running to win a bicycle donated by our friends at Canadian Tire! 🤠

We've come together and decided to do our best with your help to remake the draw. If your child got a ticket, you can choose 1 of 3 ways to get them into the draw...

1️⃣ Comment their name and ticket number on this post

2️⃣ Fill out the Google form with their name and ticket number

3️⃣ Send us a text with their name and ticket number to 709-280-7467

Don't have your physical ticket anymore? We trust you guys to honestly enter your name in case your ticket is lost.

We will allow 5 days for everyone to get their names back in the draw, and will complete the draw on Friday, August 7th at 12pm.

Thank you for laughing with us instead of at us (okay... maybe a little at us 😅). We appreciate your understanding and appreciate your help as we still complete our draw, just a little differently.

Oops... Our Plinko free giveaway tickets pulled a disappearing act! 🪄 🫣

🏆 What a day to celebrate our Rotary community! ⛳

Thank you to the Tamarack Golf Club for hosting our annual Rotary Golf, Dinner, and Awards Night! It was a beautiful day on the course last week; great food, even better company, and a wonderful evening honoring the incredible people who make our club (and our community) shine!

We were proud to present four awards this year:

🌟 Rotary Shooting Star Award: Evelyn Ryan
For a newer member who has jumped in with both feet and made an immediate, bright impact on our Club and community through her energy on recreation and community pride initiatives - even long before joining Rotary. Keep shining, Evelyn!

🏅 Rotarian of the Year: Pearl Lee
Our treasurer, quietly working behind the scenes for years to support not only our club, but countless businesses, individuals, and non-profits across the region. Pearl, your dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you.

🎖️ The True Rotarian Award: Curtis Doran
For showing up, every time, without fanfare. From leading our club by stepping into the role of President for 2026-2027, to championing community and economic growth across Labrador, Curtis embodies everything Rotary stands for.

🌍 Rotary Beyond Borders Award: Ashley Jones, Kent Kelly, Nicole Kelly, Jason Letto & Vanessa Temple
For traveling all the way to Vietnam with Habitat for Humanity, building homes and futures for people they'd never met. Service truly knows no borders, and these five proved it in the biggest way.

From our own backyard to the other side of the world, our Rotarians continue to live out "Service Above Self" in ways big and small. We could not be prouder of this Club and everything we accomplish together.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you again to Tamarack Golf Club for a fantastic day! 💛💙

🌟 It's been a busy and incredibly rewarding month for the Labrador City Wabush Rotary Club! 🌟

We've been hard at work wrapping up some meaningful projects across our community, and we couldn't be more proud of what our team has accomplished together:

🏥 The donation of our remaining 2025 Auction Funds to the Labrador Grenfell Health Foundation, directed toward a new specialized piece of equipment that will allow more surgeries to be performed right here at home
❤️ Donation to support programming at our Twin Cities 50+ Club
🌏 Donation & volunteer support from 2 of our Rotarians joining a Habitat for Humanity build in Vietnam, alongside their own independent fundraisers
🏃 Purchase of outdoor physical education equipment for JRS Middle School
🤝 Supporting the Association of New Canadians through donation to use at various events and programs
🤖 ... And MORE!!

None of this happens without the incredible dedication of our Rotarians, the community's support of our fundraisers, and the trust of our community partners who help ensure these funds reach the people who need them most.

To everyone who has supports us... thank you. We are proud to serve our communities and are already working on the next great things! ✨
