We’re excited to announce our new collaboration with the City of Lévis Libraries Bibliothèques de Lévis for a special monthly family storytime: Pajamas, Pages & Paws with Sunny: A Tea, Tales & Tails Storytime Experience! 🐾📚☕

Come join us in your coziest pajamas for a warm and welcoming hour of stories, connection, and family time. The stories will be shared in both English and French, making this a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy reading together in both languages.

And of course, you’ll get to meet Sunny, our adorable plush pup who will be joining us throughout the year! 🐶💛

🌟 SSEN Appreciation Post: Celebrating a Poet Among Us 📖✨

Today, we want to shine a little spotlight on one of our wonderful SSEN community members, whose presence always brings something special to our activities. 💙

A talented poet, a warm-hearted volunteer, and someone who has a beautiful way of connecting with people, he has generously shared his poems with our community on many occasions. And when he reads… everyone listens. 🎤✨ His voice captures the room, his words touch the heart, and somehow, there is always a smile to be found along the way.

Just like his poetry, he is kind, gentle, and friendly — and we truly love seeing him at our community activities. His generosity in sharing his talent with us is something we deeply appreciate. 🌿

📚 And we have some exciting news to share!

His new poetry book, Googlet, is now out and available for readers to discover. We are so proud to celebrate this wonderful achievement and encourage our community to pick up a copy and enjoy his words for themselves.

🏠 Subletting your apartment? You can’t turn a profit on it.

Did you know that in Quebec, a tenant generally can’t charge a subtenant more than the rent, their share of services, and a reasonable amount for furniture?

If your roommate or landlord is charging you more than your fair share, you may have options — including asking the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL) to determine the proper rent or potentially recover money you overpaid.

But there’s more: making a profit from a sublet could even put the tenancy at risk. ⚖️
