We are sharing it today in light of upcoming presentations happening in the area and recent negative and false comments about the airshed made in the media and legislature.

We hope this document will provide some clarity and serve as a source of accurate information on the matters mentioned above.

Thank you to everyone who came out to KAG's Community Open House last week!

Many discussions were shared over great food, we learned about local air quality and health research, and some lucky folks were even able to take a tour of the Riverlodge Ambient Air Monitoring Station.

🌱In late June, KAG and some amazing volunteers got together to plant an edible species garden to add to the Outdoor Cultural Education Centre at Nechako Elementary School in Kitimat. The two days spent prepping the area, assembling the boxes, and planting were a success. The blueberries, hazelnuts, and crab apple tree will help enrich the education of students for years to come. The project will finally be complete with the installation of a plaque from Silvertip Signs, coming soon! 🌿

KAG is excited to announce our upcoming planting event at Nechako Elementary — supported through the Grant program!

Join us this Friday, June 20th as we team up to create a beautiful native species garden out front of Nechako Elementary.

📍 Nechako Elementary, 61 Nightingale Street, Kitimat BC

🌱We are looking for volunteers to help prep the site on the evening of June 19th as well as folks to help plant on Friday June 20th from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Please let us know as soon as possible if you'd like to help out!

This event is made possible through the collaboration of KAG members and the wonderful staff at Nechako Elementary, and with support from the Green Cities Foundation, BC Landscape Nursery Association, and RBC Insurance.
