At the heart of everything we do are the students we serve.

Throughout the school year, students participated in workshops, events, classroom experiences, and career exploration opportunities designed to help them discover new possibilities, build confidence, and think about their futures in new ways.

We asked students what stood out to them most, and their responses are a reminder of the impact that a single conversation, experience, or opportunity can have.

Thank you to everyone who’s made these conversations possible!

Today, we welcomed a fantastic group of new volunteers for our Speaker's Bureau onboarding sessions.

For the first time, we offered in-person onboarding, bringing volunteers together to learn about the program, connect with one another, and explore how they'll be supporting students across Waterloo Region.

A special thank you to Mushroom Catering for sharing her experience and insights with our volunteers during today's sessions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and afternoon. We're excited to see the experiences, insights, and career journeys you'll share with students in the months ahead.

This week, BEP partnered with the Waterloo District School Board and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board to host a webinar for students finishing the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP). The webinar is for providing OYAP participants with the tools and resources in order to begin transitioning from schooling into their careers.

The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program is a specialized program in high school that allows you to explore apprenticeship and consider careers in the skilled trades, generally starting in Grade 11 or Grade 12 through the cooperative education program.
