Today we remember our friend and fellow Rotarian, John Jones.

John’s kindness, generosity, and commitment to service reflected the very best of Rotary. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact on our club and community will not be forgotten.

A life dedicated to service, kindness, and community, his legacy lives on through his family and the countless lives they continue to touch.

On behalf of Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Joyce, children David (Stacey), Darren (Mike), Jennifer (Nick), his grandchildren and all who knew and loved John.

Leadership is not about a title - it’s about the impact you leave on others.

This evening, our Rotary Club gathered to celebrate and thank our President Heather, as she chaired her final meeting before Rotary leadership transitions in July.

For the past two years, Heather has led with heart, compassion, respect, and vision, helping our club grow stronger while keeping service and community at the center of everything we do.

It was wonderful to welcome Rotary friends from the Leamington, Harrow and Cottam clubs who joined us to recognize her dedication and leadership. Their presence was a testament to the relationships she has helped build and the positive influence she has had throughout our Rotary family. We now refer to our local network as HECKLE (Harrow, Essex, Cottam, Kingsville and Leamington). 😊

Thank you for your unwavering commitment, your kindness, and the example you have set Heather. Your leadership has made a lasting difference, and we are grateful for all you have done. 💙💛

We are excited to share that our Rotary Club has begun volunteering at Chances Gaming Lounge in Leamington. Many people don’t realize that charitable gaming in Ontario helps support local non-profit and community organizations. By volunteering a few hours of our time, we’re helping raise funds that can be reinvested into projects and programs that make a difference right here in our community.

It’s a great example of how small acts of service can have a lasting impact.

Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore members are proud to be organizing the Beer Garden for this year’s event.

The Kingsville Highland Games return on Saturday, June 27, 2026, after a one-year hiatus, at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens.

This full-day celebration of Scottish and Celtic heritage features the stirring sounds of pipe bands and drummers, and Highland dancing.

We’ll enjoy the traditional heavy athletic events such as the caber toss and sheaf toss, tug-of-war contests, sheep-herding and shearing demonstrations, a clan village, the always-popular Mayor’s Haggis Hurl competition and more. See below for ticket info.

It’s the season!

Last year’s bursary award recipients recently came to a membership meeting to share their experiences in first year post-secondary.

Our Bursary Chairperson, Dave celebrated Morgan who is
majoring in MIT and Delilah who studies Life Sciences. They are both very happy with their program choices and appreciate the support of .

What a perfect evening for our monthly Rotary on the Rocks (ROTR) meet-up. We were on the patio of the Kingsville Golf & Country Club enjoying this beautiful day.

Each month we visit a restaurant in our community to support our local businesses and catch up with each other, while also celebrating our impact and planning for the future.

Meet Dave, who exemplifies Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self."

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲?
When Rotary of Kingsville South Shore first started my wife, Heather was approached in being one of the founding members of the club. I encouraged her to join and being that I was involved in a different organization at the time decided to hold off. As time went along I found myself joining my wife in many of the events and I suppose what attracted me to Rotary was the fellowship and the fulfilling feeling of doing something meaningful and productive for our community side by side with my wife.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧?⁠
I’ve been involved in all three community Grant projects. The fill the fridge project for the Kingsville Community Food Bank, the sensory pad at Lakeside Park and the children's corner at the Essex County Library in the Kingsville branch

𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? I really work enjoy working on the community Grant projects as they directly impact our community in a positive way, and alongside the hard work our club puts into raising funds for these grants our Rotary district matches our funds to make the money go further.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝?
Personally I feel Rotary has made me a more community focused individual. I am most proud of being a Rotarian for all the incredible hard-working, dedicated people I’ve met not only in our club, but throughout our district and seeing the impact Rotary has here and around the world.
