Well that's a wrap on the 2026 OPFFA DeFazio Taylor Health and Safety & Labour Education Seminar!

Over the past 4 days members of the Executive, Health & Safety and Wellness Committees attended the seminar to learn, ask questions, and discuss issues with experienced leaders across from across our province!

Thank you to all the speakers, instructors and everyone at the Ontario's Fire Fighters for putting on a great event!

Hey Kingston! 💛

This month marks the second year that Kingston Fire & Rescue wears the yellow T-shirts that symbolize Su***de Prevention Month, in memory of our own, Sister Pippa Fitzpatrick.

Yellow was Pippa’s favourite colour, and the purple and teal crest represents su***de prevention. What began as a way to honour her memory continues to be a reminder of the importance of mental health, checking in on one another, and letting people know they are never alone.

We proudly wear these shirts in Pippa’s memory and in support of su***de prevention.

Take care of yourselves and each other. 💛

Never forget.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.
On September 11, 2001, 3,000 lives were lost, including 343 FDNY firefighters. Hundreds of Canadians, including firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and volunteers, assisted in the recovery effort that followed.
We honour the fallen, support those still living with the impacts of that day, and ensure the sacrifices made on September 11 are never forgotten. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Hello Kingston!

You may have noticed a large group of cyclists coming through our city this afternoon.

Those are our friends from across Canada taking part in the Canadian Fallen Firefighter Memorial Ride raising money along the way. They started in Hamilton yesterday and finish in Ottawa tomorrow.

Way to go riders!!!

Good luck the rest of the way and be safe!
Welcome to Kingston!!!
