The special committee of MPs reviewing Bill C-39 has a chance to change what's in the bill before it moves forward. They’re literally deciding the future of our right to strike.

But unless people are paying attention, MPs can ignore the issues with the bill without much public scrutiny.

We can't let that happen.

Help make sure these MPs know that workers across Canada are paying attention, and we expect them to protect our right to strike and bargain for fair wages and working conditions.

Canadian Labour Congress President Bea Bruske told MPs on the special House of Commons committee struck to review the major projects bill that the proposed new powers effectively eliminate the right to strike.

We would like to share that there will be a memorial for long-time friend of the labour movement, Jim Neill, next week.

It will take place on Friday, October 16 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Memorial Hall at City Hall.
