Swamp Ward & Inner Harbour History Project Swamp Ward & Inner Harbour History Project, Kingston ON

The purpose of the project is to learn more about the twentieth-century history of the neighbourhoods of Kingston near the Inner Harbour, including the history of immigration, labour, commerce and industry, and everyday community life. The project will bring people, time periods, spaces, and issues into Kingston’s story that have usually stood in the shadow of nineteenth-century limestone buildings and illustrious politicians. Professor Laura Murray at Queen's University is the Director of SWIHHP and the writer/moderator of this page.
