Rob Roy Pipe Band & Highland Dancers

Rob Roy Pipe Band & Highland Dancers The Rob Roy Pipe Band & Highland Dancers provide instruction in piping, drumming & highland dancing

The Rob Roy Pipe Band & Highland Dancers of Kingston are a unique organization. The Band was established in 1953, the dancers were incorporated in 1967, and the group remains one of only a few permanently integrated band and dancer organizations. Rob Roy is a strong community based organization with a long history of offering instruction in piping, drumming and highland dancing. Rob Roy and its me

mbers perform in many engagements (parades, community events, competitions) throughout the year around Ontario, Quebec, New York, New Hampshire and Scotland. The Band competes in Pipe Band competitions at both outdoor Highland Games and indoor events. Rob Roy currently fields two competition bands – Grade 3 & Grade 5. Many of our dancers take part in solo and choreography competitions. Dancers take medal tests yearly and all students have the opportunity to showcase their skills at our December and Spring concerts.

Good luck to our grade 5 band as they compete at the Northumberland Scottish Festival & Highland Games on Saturday!
