Main Duck Island, administered by The Thousand Islands National Park, is situated about 17NM south of Kingston Harbour, well out into the main body of Lake Ontario.

The island has been a mainstay in life on the lake since acting as a safe harbour for Iroquois and other indigenous peoples crossing the open lake.

It has been home to both a vibrant fishing community, acted as a staging ground for rum-runners, and has seen both boat building and farming. It even had a herd of buffalo!

The wreck of the Propellor Barge “John C. Randall” is easily visible in School House Bay.

A rare, remote, and beautiful place that we visit regularly!

BIG UPDATE! Matt Marcuz will be joining our musical lineup! Matt will be cleaning the way for the rest of us to join Dave & Sue’s Shanty Sing-Along 3.0!!!

Matt is a seafaring, sailmaking, sword swinging, guitar picking, shanty singing legend! Don’t miss his set while you scarf down some oysters, burgers, and ale (or soda) to steel yourself for the sing-along!

We will be doing a rendition of Mr. K Wells “The Ballad of the St. Lawrence II” which you will NOT want to miss!

Bring all your friends down to the Kingston Yacht Club for this absolute banger of an evening!

No Shoes. No Socks.

Youth are more disconnected from natural spaces and their peers than ever before. Give them an opportunity to experience real connection through an immersive program that's been operating an exceptional outdoor adventure program for over 70 years.

Our program offers challenge, reflection, friendship, and facilitates real connection by eliminating distractions and focusing on being present in the moment.

We have some spaces remaining in our youth programs in July - a 5 day into to sail & tall ships program for youth from 12 -14, plus a 12 day Lake Ontario intro to voyaging program for youth from 14-17.

As a charity our goal is accessibility, so our prices are kept as affordable as possible, with our 5-day program costing only $750!

Our Transport Canada inspected and certified Tall Ship is a safe, impactful, and inspirational platform for growth and personal development.

Don't miss an unbelievable opportunity to create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime!
