Queen's University Best Buddies Best Buddies is built on creating friendships that give people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to enjoy experiences most take for granted!

Best Buddies is an international organization that matches special needs individuals with people in the community to help enhance their quality of life and allow them to engage in activities they may otherwise be unable to experience. For many of the buddy pairs this includes going to the mall, seeing a movie, grabbing some lunch, or just hanging out. The goal of Best Buddies is to create lifelon

g and meaningful friendships for both participants and to allow individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities the opportunity to fully participate in their community.

Introducing our Buddy Ambassador Program!! Our first Buddy Ambassador of the month is Sarah! She is a super caring, generous, and supportive friend who always has her buddy’s back and is the perfect person to kick start our new program. Sarah has been with Best Buddies for 3 years and Evie’s buddy for 2 years. Together they came up with this program. Sarah has always given incredible new ideas and feedback for events. She gives Evie insight on her, and others’ experiences from a different perspective allowing our club to continue to grow and better our events. Thank you Sarah!!

Can't wait to see you there. Check in before the Friendship Walk. Opening remarks at 12:15pm. and walk starts at 12:30 pm. If you are not registered you must sign in as a guest. It's also not too late to donate. So much to do:

• Obstacle Course
• Dart board (inflatable)
• Activity area
• Jenga
• Cotton candy machine
• Face painter 3 design choices 1 hour (before walk)
• Henna artist 3 design choices 1 hour (before walk) design choices are related to Best Buddies
• Balloon artist 1 hour (before walk)
• Starbucks Coffee
• Domino's Pizza Kingston
• Warm up - Kingston Gets Active
