International Development Week

International Development Week The event coincides with the International Development Week spearheaded by Global Affairs Canada, which was initiated in 1991.

International Development Week is an annual event taking place in early February led by the Queen’s International Affairs Association (QIAA - .iaa) at Queen's University. International Development Week is an annual event taking place in early February on the Queen’s University Campus, led by the Queen’s International Affairs Association. International Development Week strives to bring aware

ness to Canada’s role in reducing poverty on a global scale. Furthermore, International Development Week is aimed at encouraging Canadians, in particular youth, to learn more about how they can contribute to international development. This year QIAA is very excited to work in line with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development to celebrate Canada's 26th International Development Week! IDW will be taking place during the second week of February and we would like to invite you to help celebrate this week with us. We believe that by working together with other developmentally-conscious clubs, we can bring a week full of fantastic events and opportunities to learn about development in Canada and abroad to the student community. We hope to also provide a foundation for development-oriented clubs on campus to promote themselves!
