Yesterday Aug 29, 2026, QSLB hosted a dressage clinic with Gina Smith at Harmony Creek Stable. What a beautiful facility. Thanks so much to Kim and Terry for hosting. Thanks to Laurie Smith and Kim for organizing this clinic. Most importantly thanks to Gina Smith for giving our riders amazing lessons.

This clinic was offered to QSLB members before it was to be opened up to non members. Although the clinic filled up quickly with club members, auditors were able to come and learn too. A perfect day. Thanks everyone for attending.

As President and Vice President of QSLB Dressage we would like to thank Emma Lord, LordKehres Dressage Inc for hosting an excellent clinic with coach Jaimey Irwin and welcoming auditors. Auditing is such an amazing way to learn so much and Jaimey did not disappoint. We both left the clinic excited to get home and ride with our new knowledge.

Some of the QSLB old timers might recognizes these riders. Sheri Doornekamp and Dick Bayly. What fun to see them in the show ring today. I wonder how many total years they have shown in the QSLB Dressage shows. Anyone have a guess.

The last 2026 QSLB show season ride was completed by Alaina Harper.

What a great show season. We had downpours, lightening, heat waves and everyone still showed up to ride.

Thanks to the facilities that opened their farms up for us. Balanced Ride, Lemon Dal, and Doornekamp’s, you have all been so accommodating and welcoming.

Thanks to the amazing volunteers. Without them the shows would not exist. There are so many other volunteers that may not be visible on the show days but are working away to keep the social media up to date and pay our bills set up shows in advance etc. Thank you to all.

Thanks to the officials who drive very long distances to come to our shows. We appreciate you.

Now on to auditing our Gina Smith clinic on Aug 29th, at Harmony Creek Farm and our AGM on Oct 25th. Hope to see you there.
