QIC SparQ Studios

QIC SparQ Studios SparQ Studios is a collaborative space for creative endeavours. We strive to cultivate an environment

DESCRIPTION:

SparQ Studios' position as a makerspace is perhaps better described with the following analogy: a makerspace is essentially a gym that focuses not on your physical fitness, but rather on your mental fitness and your ability to express creativity by making things. Makerspaces allow ideas to come to life and can open many doors for the community, creating a healthy and friendly creativ

e environment for individuals. We help individuals explore their creative side by providing them with access to our wide range of machinery from which they can manufacture many things from a 3D printed USB holder to their very own custom long board. This breadth of facilities offered by SparQ Studios is what allows us to become an integral part of the creative process that is involved in product development for individuals building a startup company as well as a "learning by doing" model of teaching. The studio offers workshops on how to use any of our available machinery as well as in other subjects such as professional photography. In the future we hope to expand our facilities and staff to provide a bigger range of workshops for the community and to create a software development sector focusing on app and webpage development along with 3D CAD modeling and virtual reality software design. Hey everyone! 🎉 We've put together a March events calendar for all the workshops running for the rest of the semester.

This weekend we're kicking things off with:
🖨️ Resin Printing Workshop (Mar 7, 10am–2pm)
🖨️ 3D Printing Workshop (Mar 7, 12–2pm)
🧪 Silicon Molding Workshop Pt. 1 (Mar 8, 3–5pm)

📌 Heads up: If you want to join the Silicon Molding Pt. 2 workshop later in the month, you MUST attend Pt. 1 first, you'll need your 3D printed design! Can't make it to Pt. 1? No worries, just reach out and we'll figure something out. 💬

More details on upcoming workshops coming soon. Any questions? Drop a message in the comments or the slack chat!
