Statement from Queen's Bangladeshi Students' Association
We, Queen's Bangladeshi Students' Association in Canada, are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the tragic killing of Bangladeshi students in South Florida, Zamil Ahamed Limon and Nahida Sultana Bristy.
At this painful moment, we express our deepest condolences to their families, friends, classmates, and loved ones. No words can fully capture the grief of losing young lives with dreams, promise, and futures ahead of them. Our thoughts remain especially with their parents, who are facing an unimaginable loss far from home.
We stand in solidarity with the Bangladeshi student community in South Florida and with the broader Bangladeshi diaspora during this grave and difficult time. We call for a fair, transparent, and just investigation, and we hope that justice will be served with urgency and accountability.
We also urge Bangladeshi communities, student associations, and diaspora organizations across North America and beyond to come together in unity, compassion, and collective support. In moments like this, our strength lies in standing beside one another.
We encourage those who are able to support the families through the official fundraising effort created for the deceased. Contributions, no matter the amount, can help provide care and assistance to the grieving families during this difficult time:
