There are only a few days left to nominate a PBSC student volunteer for the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award.

Are you interested in seeing who stood out last year?

Read testimonial from Queen’s Law 2024/2025 recipient Bobbie Alvernaz:

“I was honoured to receive the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award in 2025 after 3 years with the Queen’s Pro Bono Radio Project. Pro Bono Students Canada was the highlight of my law school experience as it taught me the importance of providing legal education and services to my communities. Improving accessibility to justice has remained a top priority of mine since leaving Queens, and I am excited to continue engaging in pro bono work. Pro Bono Students Canada has shaped my approach to the legal field to ensure the promotion of dignity, equity and for all voices to be heard. The Chief Justice Richard Wagner award is a wonderful acknowledgment of these values, and I look forward to continuing to embrace these values throughout my career.”

Hello Queen’s Law!

Are you interested in taking on a leadership role with Pro Bono Student’s Canada next year?

PBSC Queen’s is looking to hire (paid) one student as a Program Coordinator to co-lead the Queen’s Law Chapter.

Program Coordinators play a central role in leading and managing PBSC’s Queen’s Law Chapter by building strong partnerships with community and legal organizations, overseeing pro bono placements, and implementing PBSC initiatives and strategic priorities. The role also involves recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, leading outreach and events, and serving as the primary liaison between the chapter and PBSC National.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership and management skills while contributing to a national access-to-justice organization and supporting local initiatives. Program Coordinators will gain exposure to diverse areas of law and build strong networks with lawyers, public interest leaders, faculty, and students across the country. They will use their growing legal skills to create meaningful and impactful placements.

🎥 Watch this video by one of current Program Coordinators (Megan Coulter) to learn more about the position and hear what the role is really like.

🗓️ Applications are now open and will close on Feb. 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST.
