πŸ’œ COMMUNITY SPEED DATING πŸ’œ

A safe, supportive, and inclusive social event for adults ages 18–30 living with exceptionalities.

Since the beginning of Bloom Skills Centre, one of the most common things our students have asked for is support around friendships, dating, and healthy romantic relationships. Like all young adults, many of our participants are looking for meaningful connection, confidence, and opportunities to meet peers in a comfortable environment.

We also recognize that for caregivers and families, navigating these adult milestones can sometimes feel emotional or uncertain. That’s why we wanted to create a thoughtful, structured event that focuses on communication, respect, boundaries, confidence, and connection β€” all in a welcoming and supported setting.

✨ Hosted by Queen's Occupational Therapy Students that are currently supporting Bloom Programming.
✨ Professionally supported by Andrea Roblin-Hanson, Registered Psychotherapist
✨ Structured, low-pressure environment
✨ Free admission

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You & Cosmos Club Update 🌟

We would like to give a huge thank you (and a fond farewell) to Hailey, Keagan, and Selena, our incredible Occupational Therapy student leaders, who organized and supported our Monday night Cosmos Club events this past year. Their energy, kindness, and dedication helped create so many meaningful connections and fun memories. We are so grateful for everything they brought to our community. πŸ’™

As they graduate and move on to exciting new chapters, this gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Cosmos Club and imagine what comes next.

✨ Cosmos Club will pause for the month of May while we review feedback, evaluate the program, and re-envision how we can best support inclusive social opportunities in Kingston.

πŸ“… We’ll be back in June with an Introduction & Information Night to share what’s ahead!

🎲 In the meantime, Game Galaxy will continue every Wednesday evening from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in partnership with Nerd Night at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560.

Come play different games each week, meet new people, and enjoy a welcoming social space!

πŸ“ If you’ve attended Cosmos Club in the past, we would truly value your feedback as we plan for the future:

Thank you to everyone who has been part of Cosmos Club. Your participation has meant so much, and we’re excited for what comes next. πŸ’«
