The Amherst Island Women’s Institute would like to share an opportunity for teen girls in our community.
During March Break, the “Girls – Flip the Script” program (for ages 14–18) will be offered in Napanee. This two-day workshop focuses on building confidence, strengthening personal boundaries, learning self-defence skills, and understanding healthy relationships.
Lunch and transportation are provided, and participants can earn 12 volunteer hours.
If you have a teen who may benefit from this empowering experience, please see the details below.
Let’s continue supporting strong, confident young women in our community. 💛

We would like to introduce an amazing person who happens to be an Amherst Islander and a dear friend, Vicki Keith.
We had Vicki to give the Women’s Institute members a brief talk about her background, a glimpse of what she has accomplished –and also give us a look at where she now might be headed.
Vicki Keith is one of the most successful marathon swimmers in the history of the sport, holding an unprecedented 16 world records. Constantly surpassing the records of other swimmers as well as previous records of her own, Vicki has become, to many, the face of marathon swimming both here in Canada and around the world.

I wanted to invite her to speak to us today because whenever I have heard her speak I found her inspiring and I hope you will too."
