Annual Park Meeting on June 16th
6:30pm @ the Elks Hall

This meeting will be to form a committee & discuss what has been accomplished & the future of the All-wheel skatepark!

We’re looking for anyone who’s interested in helping with fundraising, donations, grants, activities & anything that will help us get the park built!

The Town of Kindersley is going to help bring this great project to life & I’m very excited to have this extra support but we will still need strong support from the community!

GM Kindersley ☀️

Seeking interest from anyone who has the time to commit to being part of a committee to build the park

Looking for helping organizing fundraisers, events & anything at all really but requires the ability to work in a group to agree on paths forward & within a respectful timely manner so please comment below & share so other can see!

In 2015 we received 870 local signatures
In 2018 we received 560 local signatures
In 2023 we received 670 signatures & survey replies
In 2025 we need another 500 signatures

We also need to resurvey all the local small communities surveyed in 2013, 2016 & 2020 for information on their parks and recreate that survey in 2025 as the information I presented to the last 3 councils is not valid to the new one.

These would be the first steps to repeat towards seeing if the town believes people want to have a free place of this kind to play.

I simply just want to create a free space for kids to learn & grow & am putting out one last call for community action in order to bring this park to reality.

It’s been 12 years & now the 4th town council and it has been decided that without a skatepark committee we will be wrapping up the project end of 2025 if there’s no plan to build in 2026.

The $430,000 via cash & In kind I have raised solo in just 60 days will be returned to any donors if the project doesn’t move forward.

Thank you to everyone who believed in the vision as I appreciate you all greatly & hope one day the youth in this community will have the same free access to ride as every other community in Canada.

Happy New Years to all the Kindersley Thrill Seekers in 2025!

2024 Was a great year for progress with the Park & I'd like to Thank Rod & the previous town council for allowing me to take on this project & donating the land to create a fun outdoor space for the community to enjoy!

Here's some updates on what we accomplished to date:

- Received 20,000sq ft of land to build on
- Held multiple community feedback meetings
- Hung out & rode with over 200+ diff kids of all ages on sk8 nights
- Held a giveaway for kids event (Thanks Steph, Jamie & Sponsors)
- Planned a fundraising campaign
- Finished the full 3d engineering designs of the Park
- Planted Trees along the Golf Course
- Had a large group ride in the GooseFest Parade
- Secured the First $200,000+ in donations
- Designed a Community Donation Board

I'll be posting about current sponsors in some future posts this month, as a project like this doesn't happen without the Support of the Community & want to Thank them for their belief in this vision!

Right now I have a meeting aligned with New Town Council for Jan27th & hope to have some more great news to share with the community after this!

Shout out to our high school Artists for making our posters for the Goose Festival Parade!!!

Thanks to everyone that came out & supported during the goose fest parade last month & to Stephanie Vandewiele & Krista Giefer for helping organize the event!

Fundraising has been going well so far with a few amazing donors stepping up to help us reach our goals & the community support is appreciated!

So far $350,000 has been raised over the last 3 weeks which is a great accomplishment!

I still need some help with a few aspects of the project if anyone is interested in helping me!
These would be the biggest things we need help with currently;

- running social media
- grant writing/applications

We can't wait for the parade! With it fast approaching we want to make sure everyone knows what's going on!

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY

We are going to do the full route, we will meet at the fire station at 10:20am, going down main street, turns onto 7th Ave heading west, turns on 1st street heading north, the parade ends at the Norman Ritchie Center.

We understand that this is quite a far stretch for some of the little people, so we have prepared for that, we will have our crew of boarders and bikers followed by a truck, anyone who gets too tired can hop into the box and ride out rest of the parade! Noone gets left behind!

We will have all the kids wait at the Norman Ritchie Center for parental pick up.

There is enough interest for the parade on the 21st

We will meet near the fire station at 10:30am before it starts - I’ll let you guys know that day what I’m wearing but look for the dad & kids with skateboard & bikes & wheels!

Please tell anyone you know who may be interested so we can get the biggest group possible & show the community how mush interest there is as we start fundraising!

If anyone wants to bring candy & stuff for us to give out that would be appreciated & I’ll have some freezies for the kids when we wrap up!

Looking to see if any parents or kids would want to ride whatever set of wheels they préfère in the goosefest parade. If we get a group of 20 or so I’m sure I can ask to be included in the parade.

Would be a great way for the community to see that there is interest in the facility & kids would benefit from it!

Starting this week & over the next few Tyrone will be going around to all the local businesses & presenting the sponsorship packages in hopes of gathering enough community support to build the park!

We will also be seeking all available grants & donations from any large companies & such that operate in the area in hopes to reach our goal!
