Did you know ... all members of the Kincardine & District Chamber of Commerce automatically become members of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce? This allows Chamber members access to programs that OCC offers its membership! One such program is the TALENT OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM (TOP):

Is your organization hiring a post-secondary student during their work placement term this summer? The Ontario Chamber of Commerce can help with wage subsidies of up to 50% of wages to a maximum of $5,000 per eligible student through the Talent Opportunities Program (TOP).

Employers who hire students on work placements report benefits such as:
➡️ Support for short-term workflow pressures
➡️ Access to the latest learnings
➡️ Improved productivity and service delivery
➡️ Early access to talent pipelines
Learn more or apply for the Summer 2026 Term (May 1 to August 31, 2026) here: https://occ.ca/talent-opportunities-program/

"MEET US MONDAYS"
The Chamber has been an integral part of the Kincardine and surrounding area's commercial community for decades. We advocate for and support our local member businesses and organizations, along with promoting the foundation for a thriving community. Over the next several weeks we will be introducing the people who make the Chamber run, from our staff to our Executive and Board members. Our first profile features Executive Director, Shannon Deschambault. Shannon stepped into the ED role just over a year ago.

The Nuclear industry has been an integral part of Kincardine since the 1960's. This past Friday, June 5, 2026, members of the Kincardine & District Chamber of Commerce Executive, along with representatives of the Municipality of Kincardine were proud to host a delegation from Kenya to share their experience as a nuclear host community as part of an international knowledge-sharing visit focused on nuclear energy and community development.

The group discussed how nuclear energy can support local economic development, workforce growth, housing, infrastructure investment, small business success, and long-term community prosperity.
