Cooler weather, NO smoke, yay!! It's a perfect night to ride to the Farmers Market in Kimberley😃 and Thanks to our Amazing Youth Volunteers, we will be set up to take care of your bikes🚲 while you enjoy the market and if your little ones would like their face painted, we have some amazingly talented teenagers ready to get creative🎨🖌
The Free Bike Valet service will be available every Thursday, now -Sept 17th at the Kimberley Farmers Market.
Check your bike in with our volunteers & enjoy the Platzl area worry-free until 7:30pm
Look for the fenced area at the end of the Platzl entrance on Howard St.

Thank you to all our supporters and every community member who bought a ticket for the Spark bike raffle!!! We sold 700 tickets, raised $2940 and had hundreds of conversations about Spark’s work: a welcoming youth centred space, where young people in Kimberley can find belonging, creativity and community.

Amidst all the exciting changes at the Spark Youth Centre these days, is a new mural for our community to enjoy.

Titled “Lady’s Leg”, the mural was designed and painted by Aussie artist Benjamin Stuart, who visited the Kootenays this past winter season, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for the donation of his talent and energy, and many, many hours of his time. His schedule was very tight and the weather was at times uncooperative, and his flight home even had to be pushed out. We appreciate him so much!

Spark would also like to thank the many donors to Ben’s GoFundMe, whose contributions covered the cost of so much paint, as well as Ben’s painting partner, Sam P.

AND we thank our community for supporting Ben during his time up on the scaffolding with sustenance, praise and encouragement!

Thanks also to the City of Kimberley for providing the green light to this beautifying project. We are starting to see more art livening up our dreary cinder block walls, and it is so encouraging!

Heading to the Kimberley Farmers Market tonight? Why not ride your bike 🚲☀️
Take advantage of the FREE Bike Valet service, available every Thursday from June 18 to September 17 at the Kimberley Farmers Market.
Simply check your bike in with our volunteers and enjoy the Platzl worry-free while you shop, eat, and explore. Bike pickup is available until 7:30 PM.
Look for the fenced area at the end of the Platzl entrance on Howard St.

What a fantastic Community event!! Thanks to the Kimberley Underground Railway Organization, K-Town Kevin and his staff, and our amazing Spark volunteers, Angie, Joaquin, Ian & Asher, Spark was able to raise $421 at the Show and Shine on Sunday. Thanks for your continued support and to Nappa Auto Cranbrook, who raised an additional $151 in donations.
