NorthStar Rails to Trails

NorthStar Rails to Trails 26 km paved trail from Cranbrook to Kimberley. Walk, bike, run, roller blade or even ski from one city to the other or do short segments.

This beautiful trail was once a CPR right away from Cranbrook to Kimberley. Now a 26 km smooth paved trail utilized by many for cycling, running, walking and roller blading. (no motorized vehicles allowed). Officially part of the Trans Canada trail network in June 2012. The was a collaborative effort between the City of Cranbrook and Kimberley, Canadian Pacific Railway, the Province of BC and Gove

rnment of Canada. The trail can be accessed at number of points
- Cranbrook just off Theatre Road and Industrial Road F (minimal parking)
- main trail head (good parking) behind Aasland Taxidermy (Hwy 95A)
- Echo Field Road and Hwy 95A (minimal parking)
- Wycliffe Park Road (parking, out house) off Hwy 95A
- Wycliffe Park Road (some parking) off Hwy 95 at Forties Corner
- Wycliffe Flats, trail runs parallel to the highway, several areas to park
- Hwy 95A upon entering Marysville where trail crosses the highway
