It is with deep regret that Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook has made the difficult decision to cancel the Stillpoint Summit Screening and mountaintop experiences originally planned for September 19, as well as the Expanded Farmers’ Market and Kootenay Film Celebration planned for September 17 and 18.

There are two interconnected issues behind this decision: the health of a key team member and our organization’s financial security.

All ticket holders of cancelled events will receive a full refund as soon as possible through Zeffy. Conference Centre tickets will be reserved for purchase for existing Summit Screening, Peak Experience, and Alpine BBQ ticket holders until 11:59 pm on September 9. A message with full details will be sent directly to each ticket holder and Stillpoint Raffle prize draw winner. We appreciate your patience as we complete this process.

Scaling back the festival is not a decision that was made lightly. We recognize that there has been interest and anticipation around this event, and we are incredibly sorry to disappoint everyone who was looking forward to a mountaintop film screening.

We remain committed to bringing Saturday, September 19 programming to life—including a screening of Banff World Tour films at the Conference Centre. We hope you’ll still join us at the Kimberley Alpine Resort plaza and Conference Centre on Sept. 19 to watch inspiring films and celebrate the end of summer as a community.

Here it is—the Banff World Tour lineup you’ve all been waiting for. 🎥

Buckle up for a ski season in Japan, a calling to design log hives for honey bees, a window into the hardships and joys of adaptive mountain biking, a downhill battle with the elements, a climbing journey surmounting all odds, and a romantic (?) 69-day “vacation” across Baffin Island.

After losing her home in the 2024 Jasper wildfire, aerial artist Sasha Galitzki is forced to reckon with catastrophic changes to her mountain home. 🎬 Where Everyone Belongs (Welcome to the Circus)

In the remote mountain community of Nelson, B.C., a thriving circus scene is redefining what it means to belong. 🐺 Wolf Cubs Unparented Play is for children ages 3-5 to venture out with new friends.

🐦‍⬛ Ravens is a homeschool support group for children in kindergarten to grade 5 to explore and broaden their horizons across the seasons.
