Meadowbrook Community Association A place where residents and non-residents of the Meadowbrook to Woods Corner area outside of Kimberl The decision was made to form a community association.

In September 2011 residents and recreational users of Meadowbrook became alarmed at the prospect of a quarry being proposed adjacent to Cherry Creek Falls. If the quarry were approved the public would be denied access to this much used natural attraction. Many individuals expressed their concerns to provincial politicians and officials with little success. By early 2012, it became obvious that the

re was a need for a collective voice. On April 5, 2012, 22 people attended a meeting at the home of Don and Marjorie Fabro. Seven individuals were elected as directors: Dave Fabro, Bob Johnstone, Marie Kohlman, Sandra Loewen, John Lyon, David Mayes and Margaret Mayes. The first board meeting was held on April 10, 2012. Bob was elected President, Dave F Vice President, Sandra Secretary, and John Treasurer. During the first year, Dave resigned for business reasons. The board elected Marie as Vice President and appointed Marty Musser as Director. Since many non-residents use the area for recreational purposes and are interested in preserving and enhancing the Meadowbrook area, the Board determined that residency should not be a requirement for membership. Therefore, anyone 18 and older may join.
