It’s been a great couple of days at Mackenzie Community School in Deep River, where members of the Killaloe & Area Lions have been providing vision screening for students!

School vision screening is so important because many children don’t realize they’re having trouble seeing. Early detection can catch issues like focusing problems, eye coordination challenges, and other vision concerns that may impact reading, learning, confidence, and overall classroom success. When vision problems are identified early, families can follow up with proper care, helping set students up for success both in school and in life.

Thank you to the staff and students for the warm welcome, and to our dedicated volunteers for making this community service possible.
