The Organization, its governing structures and agencies, will do all that is required by member First Nations, to advance First Nations Interests. Formulating programs and services to meet community needs
Establishing policies and strategies that complement our programs and services ensuring communities receive maximum benefit
Promoting self-government and self-determination
Assisting in

the transfer of authority, responsibility and accountability to each First Nation
Continually evolving to meet First Nationsโ€™ changes in their workplace, including administrative and technological environments

Participants gathered at the Clarion Hotel in Kenora to learn practical strategies for creating more inclusive and supportive school environments. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ก

Students receive a strong Ontario Curriculum education while learning through Anishinaabe language, culture, traditional teachings and land-based experiences. ๐Ÿชถ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ“–

๐ŸŽ“ Bimose Community High School follows a four-quad system! Students focus on only two courses during each quad, giving them greater structure, individualized support and the opportunity to concentrate on their learning and succeed. โœ…๐Ÿ“˜

ADDITIONAL WELLNESS SUPPORT IN WABASEEMOONG
Wabaseemoong Leadership and community partners are welcoming the Nisidotaadiwag Team to the community for the next two weeks.

They are here to walk alongside the community and support the services already in place.

YOU'LL SEE THEM AROUND THE COMMUNITY!
The team will be out meeting community members, attending community activities and spending time getting to know Wabaseemoong.

They will also have an office located at the Maโ€™iiagan Building while they are in the community.

HOW CAN THEY SUPPORT?
The Nisidotaadiwag Team can help with:
โ€ข Wellness checks and communityoutreach
โ€ข Mental health and wellness support
โ€ข Connecting individuals and families with KCA Mental Health Services
โ€ข Helping navigate referrals and other supports
โ€ข Supporting youth, families and vulnerable community members
โ€ข Connecting people interested in treatment or additional wellness supports
โ€ข Being a friendly and supportive presence in the community

The team includes experienced community wellness workers and a Registered Social Worker who can provide additional support while they are here.

Nisidotaadiwag is working alongside Maโ€™iiagan Emergency Services, WCWA, Kenora Chiefs Advisory, OPP and other community partners.
