Things are starting to take shape around Central Park next to the Community Club as the City of Kenora continues to make this a great destination for families year round. We can't wait for the finished product once Solid Construction completes their work. Thanks to Mayor Poirier and council, as well as Minister Rickford for there continued support of revitalizing the area.

Did your kids not come home with all their gear this winter. We have an abundance of Lost and Found from the season. Were bursting at the seams and ready to donate it to those in need but were giving you one last chance to come claim what's yours. Come out tonight between 3:30 and 5:30 during the Youth Mentorship Engagement and take a look at the lost and found table to bring home what you thought was lost forever.

🐾 🐶 Easter Bake Sale!! 😸🍪

Join us on this Saturday, April 4th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Central Community Club (746 First St S) for a community bake sale in support of the Kenora Cat Shelter and It’s A Dogs Life!

All baking proceeds will be split between both organizations, directly supporting cats and dogs in our community who are waiting to find their forever homes.

We are still looking for baking donations to help make this event a major success. Any and all baking is welcome - pies, cookies, cakes, brownies, cinnamon buns, cupcakes - you name it! Baking donations can be dropped off at the Central Community Club on April 4th at 9:30 AM. If that time doesn’t work for you, please reach out to arrange pickup!

Event highlights:
• Tables filled with delicious baking!

• The Kenora Cat Shelter will have Easter and cat-themed merchandise, a silent auction with 4 different baskets (kid themed basket, cake pop basket, a basket donated from Sweet, and a womens themed basket), a jellybean guessing contest, colouring table, and two adoptable kittens (Tora and Hana) available for snuggles

• It’s A Dogs Life will have hoodies available for purchase, Kevin handing out chocolate goodies, and they will be hosting a meet the hounds from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The season is almost done but we hate to give up. Unfortunately the big rink wont be coming back this season but for those die hards we will be Open tonight for some skating fun.

Looking like a warm weekend in store. We will be closed this weekend to extend our season a little further. Watching the long term we are hoping for another two weeks of ice but we have to make these necessary changes in order to make the best of it. Have a great weekend everyone.
