🥇 Kin-Ora Olympics – Full Day Schedule!

Join us February 21 at the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre for a full day of FREE Olympic-themed family fun — and a huge thank you to the Kenora Kinsmen Club for sponsoring this event!

Throughout the day, results from all structured events will be recorded so we can recognize winners and medalists during our end-of-day Awards Ceremony.

Come and go throughout the day, pick and choose the activities that work best for you — or stay and enjoy the entire event!

Here’s what the day looks like:

⛸ ON THE ICE
12:00 – 1:30 p.m. – Open Skating

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. – The ice will be split into sections:
• Open Skating
• Agility Skating Challenge
• Shootout Challenge

We’ll have volunteer goalies ready — bring your stick and sign up to participate! Open and welcoming for all ages and abilities.

🔥 OUTDOOR EVENTS – 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
• Bonfire & Hot Chocolate (open to all)
• Hockey Accuracy Challenge (pavement)
• Arcade Basketball Shooting
• Winter Frisbee Golf (baseball diamonds)

Tall winter boots or snowshoes are recommended for Frisbee Golf!

🏊 IN THE POOL – 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Open swim will be available in all pools, with scheduled events taking place in the main pool throughout the evening:

5:20 p.m. – 25m Swim Races
5:50 p.m. – Pool Bocce (instructions provided at the time)
6:40 p.m. – Pool Surface Running Competitions

🏅 7:15 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
Join us in the Aerobics Room as we celebrate winners from throughout the day!

BEST DRESSED CONTEST – ALL DAY LONG!

Dress in your Canada gear!
Take a photo with friends/family or a selfie at one of our events, post it to Facebook or Instagram, tag Kenora Recreation, and use .

A panel of judges will select a podium finish for our best Canadian-dressed participants!

🥇Kin-Ora Olympics – Free Family Fun at the Rec Centre!

Join us February 21 at the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre for the Kin-Ora Olympics, sponsored by the Kenora Kinsmen, featuring a full day of Olympic-themed, family-friendly activities.

The day kicks off with open skating and ice competitions, followed by outdoor winter activities and our Kin-Ora Olympic Flame bonfire, complete with hockey skills challenges and hot chocolate outside.

We’ll then head to the pool for an evening free swim with planned activities, before wrapping up the night with a medal ceremony for event winners.

Come dressed in your best Canadian gear for a chance to win our Best Dressed prize, and enjoy a full afternoon and evening of fun activities for all ages.
