Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.

The students, staff and everyone in the École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys family came together to collect almost 230 lbs of food for the food bank!

Because of your kindness, local families will be able to put food on their tables.

Because of your generosity, we can continue to give hope today.

We want to say thank you to the Kenora OPP Auxiliary for their support!

Over the weekend, they held Operation Full Plate across the province where they collected donations in support of local food banks.

They were generous enough to select us as the local recipient, and collected 545.5 lbs of food as well as $483 in cash.

Because of the support of groups like the OPP Auxiliary, we’re able to be there for those right here in Kenora who need us the most.

We’ve heard some questions and rumours about the future of The Salvation Army in Northwestern Ontario, and we want to be clear: we’re still here, and we’re not going anywhere.

Our commitment to Kenora remains strong. Needs in our community continue to grow, and so does our determination to be there for our neighbours—providing practical help, hope, dignity, and support when it’s needed most.

Programs and services may change and evolve over time, but our mission remains the same.

Still here. Still serving. Still Giving Hope Today.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, volunteer, donate, and stand alongside us.

We’re calling on our local business community.

Our food bank belongs to this community, and every day we’re helping local individuals and families who are struggling to put food on the table.

But meeting that need takes more than the generosity of individual donors. We need our local businesses at the table, too.

We’re looking to build stronger, ongoing partnerships with businesses that want to make a real difference right here at home.

Supporting the food bank could look like:

• Making a monthly financial contribution
• Sponsoring the purchase of a high-demand food item
• Organizing an employee or customer food drive
• Donating products, services or gift cards
• Matching donations from employees or customers
• Choosing the food bank as a community partner for the year

It doesn’t have to start with a huge commitment. What matters most is building relationships with businesses that believe no one in our community should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

If you own, manage or work for a local business, we would love to have a conversation with you.

And if you know a business that cares deeply about our community, tag them below or share this post with them.

Together, we can make sure our food bank has the resources it needs to continue being there for our neighbours when they need us most.
