The Public Art Pollinator Pastures project uses artistic practices to address problems related to insect habitat loss, food security, land use, and pollinator population collapse. By developing partnerships with concerned municipalities, this project creates public art and pollinator demonstration meadows with multifaceted environmental-based artworks in Kelowna, BC and Richmond, BC. Starting in 2

015-2016, the two pilot projects in these communities will turn vacant land into aesthetically pleasing, educational, and ecologically beneficial pastures, using public and community art to engage people in bee issues and to help transform sites into ecologically useful and healthy places for bees and other pollinators. The Kelowna pasture is located at Brent's Grist Mill Park at the corner of Dilworth and Leckie.
