KCR is a multi-service agency offering programs and projects in four overarching areas:

1) Community Services promotes community information, supporting volunteer management and hosting learning opportunities.

2) Employment Services helps unemployed and under-employed individuals identify career and educational goals, navigate the job search and develop essential job skills. Collaborates with em

ployers in the Central Okanagan to more easily recruit quality applicants.

3) Family & Adoption Services provides family-centred, preventative supports and program referrals to parents with young children to increase knowledge, skills and community connections. Facilitates the legal and emotional process for adoptive parents building their family through intercountry and domestic adoption, for birthparents who want to make adoption plans and children in need of permanent homes.

4) Immigrant Services assists Immigrants to Canada to feel welcome by providing information and connecting them to the community. Promotes the benefits of cultural diversity in our community by coordinating cultural awareness activities. Our core values:

This Mother’s Day, our hearts were full seeing the smiles on the faces of the moms in our program.

KCR Community Resources remains open during construction Monday- Friday from 8:30-4:30pm.

Construction can be thirsty work! While Bertram Street is closed for the next few weeks, we wanted to show our appreciation to the workers on-site. Grateful for the progress being made by BC General Contracting Inc.!

Today serves as a great reminder that our community’s health is tied to our planet’s health. The Green Team invites you to take part in a simple challenge: do just one thing for the environment.

Easy ways to join in:
✅ Reuse: Bring your reusable mugs and containers (we’ve loved seeing so many of you doing this since our last staff meeting!).
✅ Reduce: Skip single-use items for the day.

Impact is not just about the work we do, but also about the people who lead it.

KCR had the pleasure of hosting a special Nourishing Volunteer Managers lunch at Kelowna Community Theatre. While external impact has always been the focus, this event was about turning that energy inward to recognize and honor the leaders who are the backbone of our community.

A massive thank you to Nicole and the team for all the support and their hands-on help. It’s partnerships like these that allow us to keep fostering positive change in our community.

Mohammed was proud to participate as a panelist from KCR at the BC/Y Regional RAP Learning Event and the BC Alliance Case Management Conference.
We had meaningful discussions about current housing realities, housing challenges and solutions to explore practical strategies to better support Government-Assisted Refugees as they secure and maintain housing.
Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and learn from colleagues across the region.
