We’re incredibly thankful that the smoke gave way to blue skies today, allowing for a wonderful day of sailing! ⛵️☀️

It was fantastic to see our sailors back on the water, enjoying the lake and making the most of a beautiful Okanagan day. Here’s hoping for more blue skies and great sailing ahead!

We were super excited to host local Special Olympics athletes, many of whom are off to compete at the Special Olympic Canada Summer Games next week. Good luck Team BC!

Every summer, COSA’s incredible members host a Coach Appreciation Pancake Breakfast, a tradition that says so much about what makes our club special. 🥞💙

Our members work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the club running, maintain our facilities, and create a welcoming space where coaches can introduce hundreds of new sailors to the sport each season. Without their dedication, none of this would be possible.

It might seem funny that the members are the ones making breakfast for the coaches, but that’s exactly what makes COSA such a unique community. They understand the impact coaching has on young sailors and the lifelong memories created on and off the water.

To all of our coaches, thank you for the energy, passion, and time you give to our sailors every day. And to our amazing COSA members, thank you for making it all possible. We are so grateful for everything you do. 💙⛵

It’s not always about the sailing. ❤️

Our 1:00–4:00 p.m. Puddle Jumper crew (ages 4–6) took a break from the water today for a snack and a pirate story with Coach Gemma.

Sometimes the best memories aren’t made while sailing—they’re made while building friendships, using their imaginations, and sharing moments like these.

If this doesn’t melt your heart, we’re not sure what will!

The only program with room next week is our Learn to Windsurf class for ages 9-18. If you want to have a great time on the water, you can register for the July 13-17, 1pm-4pm class online! Coach Tyler will teach you how to go fast (or get really wet trying)!

A generation ago, Coach Devin taught the Hardy kids how to sail.

Years later, those Hardy kids taught Devin’s kids how to sail.

And this week? Devin’s kids are teaching the next generation of Hardy kids how to sail.

Full circle, a little confusing, and absolutely awesome.

Week 1 of summer sailing lessons is in the books! ⛵☀️

From first-time sailors to returning sailors building their skills, it’s been an amazing start to the season. We can’t wait to see everyone continue to grow in confidence on the water all summer long.
