Nearly ten years ago, Current Taxi launched in Kelowna with a simple belief: people deserved more from their transportation experience.
At a time when expectations of taxi service had fallen painfully low, Current Taxi set out to challenge the status quo through innovative technology, all-electric vehicles, and above all, a commitment to guest experience.
Just eight months after launching, the Kelowna Chamber recognized Current Taxi with its Rising Star Business of the Year award. That early recognition was meaningful, but the relationships that followed proved even more valuable.
Through the Chamber, Current Taxi became connected to a community of businesses and organizations whose trust, support, and partnerships have helped shape its success.
Today, as Current Taxi celebrates nearly a decade in business and its first vehicle reaching one million kilometres, the company is reminded that innovation may have started its journey, but community relationships have helped sustain it.
