Periwinkle Children's Centre

Periwinkle Children's Centre Program is facilitated by a highly qualified and nurturing staff. Heike Reeg-Smith, Lead ECE, is trained in Waldorf education, and is a long-time homeschooler.

Located in the little blue house within Vimy Park, Periwinkle Children's Centre provides care for children aged 2.5 to 5 years on Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3:30 daily. e children with stories, nature-based crafts, painting & drawing, baking, songs & rhymes, puppet plays, nature walks, and free play time, both outdoors and in a gently stimulating indoor space. We are a non-profit organization, administered by a board of volunteers, under the name of Kootenay Lake Independent School Society.
