EDK aims at providing a beautiful outdoor summer venue for Ecstatic Dance interested individuals to explore transformational music, dance and movement arts. EDK is a not for profit event that is based on an equal sharing co-creation model. These event aim to showcase beautiful electronic music as it weaves and integrates with the works of dance and movement artists, vocalists and other live music. Ecstatic DANCE Kaslo is an outdoor dance and movement arts event series that will be held at a beautiful downtown Kaslo beachfront location on the north end of Kootenay Lake on special retreat days tba. Global dance DJs and other musical, spoken word and movement artists will bring their own style of conscious collaborations to the park in Kaslo Bay. We encourage all participants to respect the sacred space of the dance floor by not bringing shoes, alcohol, unnecessary chatter and smoking into the space. In setting up these events, we try our best to provide a safe contained outdoor private space but due to the limitations of being in a public park (Kaslo Bay Park), we ask for your flexibility due to our semi-private location. https://kasloecstaticdance.wordpress.com/

Our Story

Kaslo Ecstatic Dance organizes conscious dance events and workshops in various locations around Kaslo, BC including The Sentinel Retreat Centre, Kaslo Bay Beach Park, Vimy Park and The Langham Theatre and Gallery. Kaslo, BC is a world-class mountain destination village on Kootenay Lake with a backdrop of beautiful alpine scenery. The positive musical vibe that we try to create is influenced by Gabriel Roth’s Five Rhythms and global electronic dance music culture. KED events aim to facilitate an atmosphere for personal growth and mystic self-transcendence.
