On January 27th, Dan McLeod, one of the few remaining founding members of the Phelan RC Flying Club, passed away.
In 1988, Dan was one of 19 local RC flyers who co-invested in a new site near Kars and created the club, known then as the Rideau Flyers RC club. At that time, the site was just an empty field, but Dan worked with the club to slowly transform it into the premium flying site it is today.
