With hunting season in full swing, some of us are noticing more garbage in our beautiful forests and sideroads. Please take out, what you take in, and if possible clean up a bit of the garbage others have left. We can't possible pick it all up, but every bit helps. Some of this garbage can have major affects on our wildlife.
Please respect nature and leave it as beautiful as when you went into the bush!

Anyone else feel like this?

Please read and share. I was unaware of this and went and bought an hunter orange helmet, and was told that the Ministry is cracking down on people not having a hunter orange helmet, helmet cover and hunter orange hats on while hunting.

Q: Do I need to wear a blaze orange helmet or helmet cover while riding an ATV during hunting season? Can you provide some examples of when I need to wear an orange head

On Thursday September 24th we had our monthly general meeting, in which a concerned resident asked us for some help in regards to hunters hunting water fowl on Proulx and Guenette Lake. Please be advised that both those lakes are within town limits and you cannot discharge a fi***rm within the town limits of Kapuskasing. Please respect all laws and the safety of others while you are hunting. Thank you!
Please share!
Special thank you to Nathalie at the bylaw office for sending me the bylaw information so quickly. We appreciate your help in this matter.

I wear hunter orange every time I head into the woods during hunting season, even if I'm not hunting!

If you’re hunting during a gun season for deer, elk or moose, hunter orange is required for all licensed hunters, including bow hunters, falconers, wild turkey hunters, bear hunters and eligible trappers.

Hunter orange is always required for bear hunters during an open black bear season except when on a tree stand.

Wearing hunter orange is not required when hunting double-crested cormorants or migratory game birds, except woodcock.

Of course it's going to be high winds! Anyone still going out today/tonight?

Small game hunting seasons are starting to open across Ontario today, with others starting in the coming weeks.

What species are you looking forward to hunting this year?
