As a community, this is a beautiful chance for us to come together to give back and be a positive presence in the wider community around us. 💚

إِنّا للّه وإنّا إليه راجعون

With deep sadness, we inform our community of the passing of the beloved father of Brother Mehmood Shaikh, President of Kanata Muslim Association (KMA) and father-in-law of Sister Afreen Shaikh, Principal of KMA Hikmah School. He passed away on Wednesday May 27th in India.

We ask the community to please keep him and the family in your duas. May Allah ﷻ grant him Jannatul Firdaus and grant sabr and strength to his loved ones. Ameen.

Brother Mehmood and his family will be accepting condolences at the KMA Masjid (351 Sandhill Road, Kanata) on Friday, May 29th, between 7:00pm to 8:30pm. A collective dua will take place before Maghrib, insha’Allah.

Asalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Dear Community,

‎إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of the dear father of our president, Br. Mehmood Shaikh, in India.

We ask Allah ﷻ to grant him forgiveness, have mercy upon him, expand his grave, and grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus.

Please remember him, Br. Mehmood, and his family in your duʿas on this blessed day of Dhul Hijjah.

‎اللهم اغفر له وارحمه واعف عنه واكرم نزله ووسع مدخله و ثبته عند السؤال واغسله بالماء والثلج والبرد ونقه من الخطايا كما ينقى الثوب الابيض من الدنس وابدله دارا خيرا من داره واهلاً خيرًا من اهله وادخله الجنة واعذه من عذاب القبر وعذاب النار
