Contractors are an essential part of Canada’s mining workforce, and their skills should be recognized wherever their careers take them.

The Canadian Mining Certification Program (CMCP) provides nationally recognized credentials that validate workers’ skills and experience against industry-developed National Occupational Standards.

For contractors, CMCP provides portable proof of competency that supports career mobility and progression. For companies, recognizing CMCP credentials provides greater confidence in workforce capabilities while supporting recruitment, workforce planning and safety.
