Where Evidence-Informed Psychotherapy Meets Holistic & Spiritual Understanding
At My Holistic Self, healing is understood as a deeply personal journey that may involve biological, psychological, emotional, relational, cultural, existential, and spiritual dimensions of human experience. Psychotherapy is grounded in evidence-informed practice while recognizing that each person brings their own beli
efs, values, lived experiences, and ways of making meaning. Therapy honours the whole person — not only the challenges they face, but also their strengths, resilience, relationships, purpose, and capacity for growth. Drawing from a range of established therapeutic approaches, psychotherapy may also incorporate symbolic, contemplative, experiential, and spiritually informed perspectives when they are clinically appropriate, align with a client's goals and worldview, and are undertaken with informed consent. These perspectives may include archetypal exploration, mindfulness, family systems, Human Design, Gene Keys, energy awareness, and other frameworks that support self-awareness, meaning-making, psychological flexibility, and personal growth. No single framework is presented as an absolute explanation of human experience. Rather, each serves as one of many possible lenses through which clients may deepen self-understanding, cultivate compassion, recognize patterns, and move toward meaningful change. Some services offered through My Holistic Self are provided as psychotherapy within the scope of practice of a Registered Psychotherapist, while others are offered as coaching, education, spiritual exploration, or energy-based practice. The nature and purpose of each service are clearly identified so clients understand the type of support they are receiving before engaging in that service. Educational & Reflective Content
The reflections, energy updates, astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, and other symbolic or spiritual content shared through My Holistic Self — including social media posts, videos, blogs, newsletters, workshops, and educational resources — are offered for personal contemplation, education, and self-awareness. These resources are intended to encourage curiosity, reflection, and personal insight. They are not psychological assessments, diagnoses, individualized psychotherapy, or guarantees regarding future events or personal outcomes. They should not replace professional mental health care or other services appropriate to an individual's circumstances. Questions About Services
