Kamloops and District Fish and Game Association Started in 1918, the Kamloops and District Fish & Game Club has been promoting conservation of fish and wildlife for future generations to enjoy.

Our club has served Kamloops and area since 1918. We are hunters, anglers, outdoorsmen/outdoorswomen. We represent all local residents whose aims are to protect, enhance, and promote the wise use of the environment for the benefit of present and future generations. We have over 200 members and are part of the British Columbia Wildlife Federation. Annual membership is
$60 for families, $50 for sing

les, and $10 for juniors (17 or under)

Club membership is from January 1 - December 31

We do monthly meetings to discuss and game plan how we can protect habbitat, fish, wildlife, public access and many other things. We are involved in a variety of projects.
-Sharing outdoor knowledge with others (Family Ice fishing Day, Fish out for the visually impaired, Casting lessons etc.)
-River/Creek rehabilitation
-Dock construction
-Clean ups
-Burrowing owl nests
-Lake aeration
-And many more........

The kamloops and district fish and game association currently is running a 50/50 raffle ! The grand prize is 50% of all tickets sold - win up to 5,000!!

The raffle will be held on April 19th - tickets are 5$ each

🌟🌟POST EDUCATION FUNDING🌟🌟

Are you enrolled to or are currently taking a post secondary education program ? If so check out the Kamloops and District Fish and Game Club’s (KDFGA) Education Fund.

The KDFGA Education Fund will provide financial help to club members or their family members with their post-secondary education. A person in any post SECONDARY EDUCATION PROGRAM MAY APPLY.

Those eligible to win an award must be a club member for a year before applying.

Also eligible are the “sponsoring” member’s spouse, children, adopted children, step children, blended family children, and grandchildren. i.e. “direct lineage”. Brothers, nephews, nieces etc. are not eligible.

There will be a maximum of 2 awards of $750 per year.
The applications must be received via mail by September 30. Applications received during the year will be held until September 30.

The rules and THE application form ARE available on the KDFGA website.

The applicant will complete the application form and will include 3 letters:
1) from the applicant re his/her personal background, education and career goals, together with reasons we should consider him/her.
2) from his/her present school (or if just starting a new school, a letter from his/her previous school).
3) from the “sponsoring” member stating the relationship and why they should be considered.

Join us at the Seymour River Hatchery Open House for a behind-the-scenes look at salmon enhancement, habitat restoration, and watershed education. 🐟

🎶 Live music, 🎨 art & games for kids, a tasty concession, and tours of the hatchery site await! Metro Vancouver’s Education Team will also provide information about the watershed, our drinking water, and the dam.
