Happiest of birthdays to the one and only KP! 🥳🎉🥳

She works hard to make camp a space that people want to return home to. We’d be a wreck without all the things Kathleen does as Office Administrator; she truly keeps us afloat. For many, KP is the first point of contact when the reach out to camp. She’s also the calming presences for anxious parents, families who need to update us on big life events, or campers who need a connection with life outside of camp. Help us celebrate Kathleen on her birthday (which was actually yesterday) and every day!

A helicopter landed on Johns for all the best reasons! This morning we were visited by an crew for a practice landing. It was cool to see the helicopter and meet the crew but more importantly, we got to talk through emergency situations and learn about their procedures. Thank you Bonita, Ericka, and Mick for taking the time to stop by! We mean this in the best way possible, we hope that this is the last time we see you this summer.

Of course we’ll have classic sweatshirts and other gear at the store on Johns but many of these other items are only available in the online camp store.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEAGHAN! 🎉🥳🎉

Help us celebrate someone who fully embraces the happy condition of operating on a remote island in the country we call Puget Sound. Whether it’s boats with dogs, boats in the cold, boats in the morning, loading boats onto trucks late at night, or learning to drive camp’s boats, Meaghan plays an importing role in supporting the boats & logistics of it all (among all the other things she does for camp at Executive Director).

While you cannot predict the weather for a Work Weekend, you can certainly predict hard work and good times! Thank you to every who braved the forecast to join our smaller group this weekend - your dedication was rewarded with good weather! ☀️

Projects included fiberglass work on boats, lots of planting in the garden, flooring the new Lodge outhouses, preparing gear bins for international staff, cleaning climbing gear, starting to set up housing, and much more!

What do you mean summer’s almost here and you haven’t done your camp forms? This is a gentle reminder to staff, guardians, and campers that forms are due soon! Hopefully you’re just as excited for the summer as we are!

📋First Session Camper Forms are Due May 15th- email [email protected] is you have a form that might be late (like physical appt isn’t until after the due date).
🧾Summer Staff Forms are due May 20th
🗓️Second Session Camper Forms are Due June 15th
