We love our ribbers, and we’re always grateful for the teams that travel to Kamloops, fire up the smokers and spend the weekend showing us what seriously good BBQ looks like.

This year, Grizzly BBQ had quite the showing, taking home Best Ribs, Best Sauce and 1st in People’s Choice, with Grill Billy Willy’s taking 2nd in People’s Choice.

But there’s a little more to the Grizzly story in Kamloops.

While their owner and trailer call Vancouver Island home, much of the Grizzly team is from right here in Kamloops, including their front-of-house manager. They told us Kamloops Ribfest often feels like a home show for them- and considering they also took 1st place for ribs here in 2025, we’d say the hometown connection is working pretty well.

Congratulations to Grizzly BBQ and Grill Billy Willy’s- and a big thank you to every one of our ribbers for making the trip to Kamloops and bringing the good stuff with you.

Ribfest weekend may be behind us, but the Ribfest 50/50 is still open.

Proceeds from this year’s draw support KidSport Kamloops and their work helping remove financial barriers so more local kids can participate in organized sport.
