Congratulations to TAMMY MELNYK on taking home $1,560 in our Dog Days of Summer 50/50! A big thank you to everyone who tried their luck!

Your support helps fund crucial equipment at Royal Inland Hospital, provide student bursaries through the Mitch Harlock Bursary Program, and support SRDK9s of BC in searching for missing loved ones and helping families in their time of need.

If you're bummed you can't make it to our event, and still want to support - no worries you can still participate in our 50/50.

How does buying 50/50 tickets help?
All money raised will go to support Kamloops Fire Fighters and SRD K9s and their local community efforts.

Kamloops Firefighters Charitable Society supports vital local causes including the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, Ronald McDonald House BC, and Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

SRD K9s is a volunteer-run non-profit that trains, certifies, and deploys K9 teams to help bring answers and hope to families of missing loved ones.

The jackpot has the potential to get to $20,000!!

So… can we get it to $5,000? 👏

You don’t have to be at the event to enter — grab your 50/50 tickets and help us make an even bigger impact in our community!

Over just two days, our members responded to 117 calls for service across our community.

Behind every call is a crew responding when someone needs help — and a reminder of the growing demands being placed on our fire service.

As Kamloops grows, understanding the workload behind the numbers matters.

Fires. Alarms. Medical calls. Rescues. Motor vehicle incidents. Public service. And the people behind every response.

We’re here for our community, each and every day.

As Kamloops heads toward the municipal election, we encourage residents to stay informed, ask questions, and keep public safety and the services our growing community relies on part of the conversation.

Welcome aboard! 🚒

The beginning of an incredible career, with a lot of hard work, learning, and good times ahead.

You’ll get out of this career what you put into it — enjoy the ride and take care of each other. 🤝

Welcome to the team! 🚒

Kamloops Fire Rescue is excited to welcome our 8 newest recruits!

Over the next 8 weeks, these future firefighters will take part in an intensive recruit training program, where they’ll learn the skills, discipline, teamwork, and accountability required to serve our community. Upon successfully completing recruit training, they’ll begin a 9-month probationary period as they continue their journey with KFR.

This is an exciting milestone, and we’re proud to support them every step of the way. Before long, they’ll be serving alongside our members, helping protect the citizens of Kamloops, Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc, and the surrounding area.

Please join us in giving our newest recruits a warm welcome!
