The Heart of A Way Home Kamloops

Youth Against Youth Homelessness is a sub-committee within A Way Home Kamloops of youth ages 16-25 with 1st voice expertise of homelessness. This group of driven youth inform and shape AWHK’s services and identify barriers within social systems which further oppress young people experiencing homelessness.

YAYH has worked locally, provincially, and nationally towards ending youth experiences of homelessness by facilitating research, hosting events/workshops, creating backpacks for their peers, and assisting with the 2016 and 2018 Youth Homelessness Counts in Kamloops.

YAYH has paved the way for youth leadership and empowerment through 1st voice expertise in our community.

The group is open for youth ages 16-25 who have experienced homelessness in any form. We meet weekly on Thursdays from 4-6 pm at the A Way Home Kamloops office (653 Victoria St.). If you have lived experience, please help us make a difference in our community and come out to one of our meetings! We offer free food as well. :)
