As the cooler weather arrives, we wrap up another incredible season in the garden. And what a season it has been. From our dedicated volunteers and generous supporters to the tours, workshops, visiting groups, and guests who brought this beautiful space to life, it’s been a season filled with growth, connection, and community.

As we count down the final days of harvest, stay tuned as we tally up this season’s impact; including the total produce grown, volunteer hours shared, and groups welcomed to the garden.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and support to make this space flourish.

We are thrilled to share that the September The Kamloops Rock Choir shows raised an amazing $17,266.90 for the CFC.

We are so grateful to the Kamloops Rock Choir, everyone who attended the shows, and all those who helped make this incredible contribution possible.

This local investment will go directly into supporting the barrier free programs offered at the CFC. We truly appreciate the ongoing partnership with the Kamloops Rock Choir and the community's continued support.

Missed the September shows? The next performances are scheduled for April 1 & 2, 2027. Keep an eye out for upcoming ticket sales; you won't want to miss another fantastic evening of music, entertainment, and community spirit.

Today is World Food Day.

Food brings us together. It nourishes us, connects us, and reminds us that everyone has a place at the table.

At the CFC, we believe everyone deserves access to good food, community support, and a sense of belonging. These values are reflected in the work we do every day, from sharing community meals and learning new skills in cooking classes to growing together in the learning garden.

This World Food Day, we’re reminded that access to nutritious food is about more than what’s on our plates. It’s about connection, dignity, and building a stronger, caring community.Thank you for being part of our community. Whether you follow us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, or support our latest fundraiser, your support helps make a difference right here at home.

Welcome back, SD 73 students. We’re so excited for another year of hands-on school field trips at the CFC. Each month, a class joins us for an action-packed day of learning through four interactive food skills stations. Students get to learn, explore, create, and build confidence around food, while discovering the importance of food skills, food security, volunteering, and community.
Yesterday we welcomed Jenn Wilshner’s grade 5/6 class from Westmount Elementary School.

The CFC weekly schedule is packed with programs, activities, and opportunities to learn, connect, create, and build community.
Whether you’re looking to learn new skills, meet new people, try something different, or simply spend some time with others, there’s likely a program waiting for you.

Stop by the CFC and find out what’s happening this week; and which program is the right fit for you.

Over the past month, we’ve been connecting with people who access programs and services at the CFC. Gathering feedback, hearing stories, and listening to ideas and suggestions about what matters most to our community. These conversations help us understand what’s working, where there are opportunities to grow, and how we can make sure our programs continue to be responsive to the people we serve.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, share your experiences, and lend your voice. Your feedback matters, and we’re grateful for the trust you place in us.

The information and stories gathered will help inform our 2026 Impact Statement and guide our work moving forward.

The CFC is closed today, Oct 12th. We are back with a full day of programs tomorrow.

We are beyond thrilled to announce the return of our Indoor Farmers Market this winter.

The Community Hall will transform into a cozy winter gathering place where you can shop local, connect with neighbours, and support your favourite local vendors all season long. The first market day is November 7th from 10-2 pm.

Come in from the cold, browse local goodies, meet the people who make and grow them, and enjoy the warmth of community.
Shop local. Support local.
