We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Rick 'The Bear" Wile.
Rick was instrumental in the creation of the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame and served as Chair of the Induction Committee with tremendous passion, pride, and dedication. His leadership helped ensure that the achievements of Kamloops athletes, builders, and teams were properly recognized and celebrated, and his impact on the local sports community will be felt for generations to come.
Rick will be remembered not only for his larger than life presence, but also for his commitment to preserving and honouring the rich sporting history of our community. He played an important role in building something lasting for Kamloops, and that contribution will not be forgotten.
